The Skull Isles

The Skull Isles is an image I created to represent a living landscape that has blossemed from the skulls of the dead. I liked the idea of a foreign world where there is a hint of civilisation and life among the remains of those that once lived. I also wanted there to be a bright colouring surronding and reflecting upon the world. This was created in artrage using my ipad

Stargazer Rainbow

This image is inspired by Rainbow's Stargzer. It is something I have been planning on creating for a while. The imagery that is brought up in the song Stargazer is very powerful for me, and I wanted to pay tribute to it by creating this image. It is taken from the part in the song where the Wizard has jumped from the tower surronded by those who have followed and created it, it is believed he will rise, but instead he falls, and this is that moment. All his followers were promised he would rise, but he falls, and as they watch in disbelief, the sun can be seen rising, with a rainbow painted over the background. It is the moment between hopelessness and a new beginning. This was created in artrage using my ipad

Rize Of The Fenix

Inspired by the release of the Tenacious D album 'Rize Of The Fenix' I decided to try my hand at drawing my own Pheonix. This was the first time I'd attmepted to draw something with detailed realism on my ipad. I took care in drawing every feather to make sure it was detailed and would fit in with the anatomy of a bird creature. I was very pleased with how this turned out.
